Thaksin was popular up here and the PAD who have been demanding that the Prime Minister resign are not so popular up here. Many trains are not running and it seems as if the action may also have an impact on flights on Thai airways. Some airports in the south have also been blockaded but not the airports in Bangkok. Bangkok is under a state of Emergency...and actually allot of schools...mine included are shutdown for the rest of the week.
