G'day my little chickens,
I will have soom pictures for everyone as soon as i figure out how to get my pictures from my new digital camera onto the pc, but don't worry i will let you all know when i do. :o)
Fri 10th Dec
3.30am and hardly had any sleep, it doesn't really help that my inflatable pillow decide to die on me after about an hour into the journey. The driver stops at 3.30am so a muffin for bekkie i think, blueberry yum yum. I eventually get some sleep with the aid of two seats on the coach an eye mask and ear plugs, what a sight i must of looked but luckily enough there was no gorg surfer dudes on there. The coach arrives in Melbourne an hour late which was a bit of a pain as i was being picked up by someone. I get of the coach and it is here that the family reunion begins. Now a very long story, i will be stopping with somebody who is my second cousin, his son Adrians partner Kerryn comes and picks me up from the coach station. Kerryn is lovely and she takes me back to hers to meet Adrian. They have two kids Emilie who is totally obsessed with saying 'What you doing?' and they have a little boy called Corey he is such a little darling. We take the kids to see santa which makes it start to feel like christmas after this i go for a sleep as i can't keep my eyes open. I wake an hour later an meet my second cousin John and his wife Judy, i briefly met them 7 years ago in England when they visited. Hugs and kisses all around and kids running around like nutters. Later that evening we go to the local park for carols by candlelight which really makes it start to feel like christmas. We all stop at Adrian and Kerryns for the night and we will set off for Philip Island tomorrow.
Sat 11th Dec
We all get up early and go to local garage sales which are really cool and John buys a bicycle which is really funny as John reminds me of Santa with his white beard and big round belly. We drop everyone off and carry on with our journey but not without a few pittstops along the way. 1st stop is to see John's other son Lindsey and his wife Joanne they have two boys Brendan and Nathan. I get on really well with Lindsay and he really wants to visit England so i was filling him in on the family connections. Lindsay has a blue tongued lizard so im intrigued and he gets it out to show me and im even brave enough to stroke it, not to hold it mind it's tongue was a bit to strange for me and it had really weird little legs and a fat body. After a quick lunch we are on the road again and then take our second stop to see Johns artist friend called Kevin who teaches people to paint. We stop for quite a while and me and Kev mange to demolish a bottle of wine and it is only early afternoon ( i have just realised that my drinking habits definately come from the Swift side of the family). We set off again and make another stop at John and Judy's friends (can't remember their names) but we had great scones with mango and ginger jam. We get very nearly back and stop for some fish and chips that are gorgeous. Finally we cross over the bridge to Philip Island and head into Cowes the area that they live in. We get to the house at last and go and pick up the dog Sandy from a neighbour, little did i know then that Sandy was going to be my new device for having an excuse to spy on the gorg sufers at the beach. Sandy is really cute but his teeth stick out and it looks like he is snarling at you but he is not he is just so sweet. I finally after the busiest days ever get to go to bed yay.
